Sleep Consultancy

After experiencing the turmoil of sleep deprivation thanks to my eldest child I discovered the life changing magic of Sleep Training. When we had our second child, we were determined not to experience it again and engaged a sleep consultant to guide us through the first year.

Thanks to getting rest, I wanted others to experience that we can all sleep again. I completed a Sleep Consultancy course through the Institute of Sensitive Sleep as part of my quest to change the lives of other families who are going through the same journey. I firmly believe that whilst having children is tiring, we don’t need to lose more sleep than necessary.

Speech Pathology

I completed my BA Applied Sciences (Speech Pathology) in 2006 at the University of Sydney and have worked for many years with people who have difficulties with eating and drinking aged from birth through to end of life (including life long disabilities, ageing, stroke, dementia, cancer and Parkinson’s Disease). I co-lead the Evidence Based Practice Group for Paediatric Feeding (Disability) for several years.

I have also worked with children who needed help improving their speech skills, language and vocabulary, communicating using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems as well as working with the ageing population to help with rehabilitation after a stroke, cancer, dementia and general changes with ageing. I have delivered many Key Word Sign workshops and trained hundreds of people in how to use Key Word Sign with those around them to promote language development and understanding of language.

Research-based advice

— angela (sleep consultancy client)

We needed help gently getting our two year old out of our bed and into his own bed for lunch naps and nights after almost a year of him sleeping in our bed. Tsen provided us with great advice and techniques to make this a smooth transition for him and he started sleeping in his own bed straight away. We’re all sleeping much better as a result! We had been trying to encourage him sleeping in his bed without success so we were happily surprised at how well it went this time.

We’re so grateful for all of Tsen’s great support and expertise!

Smooth transition
